# Alert Settings

All alerts are optional. Use the **Enable** toggle, sliders, and **+/−** buttons to configure thresholds and snooze times.

Three alert types are available: **Low** (at or below your set value), **High** (at or above), and **No Data** (no reading received within a set number of minutes).

**Snoozing Basics —** Press the **top button** once to snooze an active alert. Each alert has its own snooze duration. If the condition persists after the snooze, the alert triggers again.

Each alert includes a **Test** button. Tests respect Quiet Hours and active snoozes — if you don't hear the test, check your time zone, quiet hour settings, and the Remote Snooze menu.

<Danger>
  **Test your alerts weekly** to confirm audio and vibration hardware are working.

    Plug the puck into the back of SugarPixel Classic and enable the Vibration option. Ideal for deaf or hard-of-hearing users, heavy sleepers, or any situation where audio isn't appropriate.

    If you have a **Sidekick**, see the [Sidekick setup guide](/external-alert-devices/sidekick-setup) for full setup instructions.

    ### Wireless Alert Adapter / Bed Shaker <Badge color="orange">Mini</Badge>

    The Wireless Alert Adapter is a Bluetooth accessory that delivers physical alerts — such as bed shaking — when an alert fires.

    Unboxing, pairing, and plugging in the adapter is covered in [Setup My Wireless Alert Adapter](/external-alert-devices/alert-adapter-setup).

    <Info>
      Place your SugarPixel Mini and Wireless Alert Adapter in their intended locations before pairing to ensure sufficient Bluetooth signal.
    </Info>

    To pair a Wireless Alert Adapter, open the Wireless Alert Adapter screen in the app. SugarPixel Mini automatically scans for nearby adapters and displays each one with a signal strength indicator and a **Pair** button. Confirm the signal is sufficient for your intended location, then tap **Pair**. When prompted, enter the **6-digit PIN** printed on the bottom of the Wireless Alert Adapter. SugarPixel Mini pairs automatically.

    <Warning>
      Confirm your adapter is listed as **SugarPixelAlert-XXXX**. If it shows as **Unknown Device**, tap **Unpair** and try again.
    </Warning>

    <Danger>
      Use the **Test Alert** button at the bottom of the menu to confirm your adapter is working.

    ### Additional Wireless Alert Adapter Information

    The light on the Wireless Alert Adapter glows **blue** when connected, **green** when powered on but not connected, **green** when an alert is active, and **orange** when Guardian Mode is active. To reset the adapter for use with a different device, tap the **Unpair** button.

    **Guardian Mode —** When enabled, if the Wireless Alert Adapter loses its connection to SugarPixel Mini for more than 30 minutes, the bed shaker will vibrate on its own every 30 minutes for up to 3 hours. This is designed to alert you if the connection is lost unexpectedly.

    <Warning>
      If you prefer vibration-only alerts, **Ascending Alerts are strongly recommended** — audio will still play if the puck becomes unplugged. To maintain warranty coverage, **Quiet Hours must be enabled** to prevent extended vibration when alerts aren't being snoozed.
