# Libre FGM (Manual Scan)

> Manual scan flash glucose monitor — limited functionality

Libre FGM sensors require manually scanning the sensor with your phone. Because readings are not automatic, SugarPixel Mini/Classic has **limited functionality** with FGM sensors. A Libre CGM with real-time readings is recommended for full functionality.

Follow the main **Libre (LibreLinkUp)** setup steps above and select **FGM** when prompted. Firmware version **1.72 or newer** is required.

## Display Behavior

* When no scanned reading is available, SugarPixel Mini/Classic shows the current time with a minute ticker
* After a manual scan, SugarPixel Mini/Classic displays the glucose value and time using standard color coding
* The value turns blue after your configured No Data time
* Display returns to clock-only mode after 30 minutes
* Some display options are unavailable with FGM

### Alerts

* SugarPixel Mini/Classic can alert from a manually scanned value that crosses your thresholds, or from LibreLinkUp alerts
* Alert thresholds are set in the Libre app — SugarPixel Mini/Classic mirrors those and allows enabling/disabling and snooze timing
* No Data alerts are not available with Libre FGM
* FGM can only be used in single-user mode
