# App Will Not Connect (Bluetooth)

> Step-by-step fixes when the app can't find or pair with your SugarPixel Mini/Classic

<Info>
  **Start here:** make sure the SugarPixel app is up to date in the App Store or Play Store, and that your SugarPixel Mini/Classic has the latest firmware installed. See [Firmware Update](/sugarpixel-mini-classic/firmware-update).
</Info>

Try these in order.

### 1. Restart both devices

1. Reboot your phone
2. Unplug SugarPixel Mini/Classic and plug it back in
3. Try connecting again in the app

If you previously forgot to tap **Disconnect** in the app, this often resolves the issue.

### 2. Check app permissions

Open your phone's **Settings → Apps → SugarPixel** and confirm all permissions are allowed. Then reopen the app and try connecting again. If the app shows "Stopped", also make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your phone.

### 3. Remove and re-pair Bluetooth

An incorrect pairing code is the most common cause of connection failure. If the wrong code was entered, your phone may show "connected," but SugarPixel Mini/Classic will not send data.

1. Open your phone's **Bluetooth settings**
2. Find the saved SugarPixel Mini/Classic device
3. Select **Unpair / Forget / Delete**
4. Restart your phone
5. Unplug and replug SugarPixel Mini/Classic
6. Open the SugarPixel app and reconnect
7. When prompted, enter the **6-digit code shown on the SugarPixel Mini/Classic display**

### 4. Manual pairing (if needed)

1. Remove any saved SugarPixel Mini/Classic in Bluetooth settings
2. Restart phone and SugarPixel Mini/Classic
3. In phone Bluetooth settings, tap SugarPixel Mini/Classic when it appears
4. Enter the **6-digit pairing code**
5. If it shows "Connected," tap to **Disconnect** (do not forget)
6. Reboot SugarPixel Mini/Classic
7. Open the SugarPixel app and connect
