# Not Alerting When Expected

> SugarPixel Mini/Classic didn't alert when you expected it to

<Info>
  **Start here:** make sure the SugarPixel app is up to date in the App Store or Play Store, and that your SugarPixel Mini/Classic has the latest firmware installed. See [Firmware Update](/sugarpixel-mini-classic/firmware-update).
</Info>

<Steps>
  <Step title="Check Quiet Hours">
    SugarPixel Mini/Classic doesn't alert during Quiet Hours. In the app, open **Time Settings → Quiet Hours** and make sure the hours when you want alerts are <span style={{ color: "#16A34A" }}>**green**</span>. <span style={{ color: "#DC2626" }}>**Red**</span> means alerts are off.

    Quiet Hours follow your **Time Zone**, so check that it's correct too. See [Time Settings](/sugarpixel-mini-classic/time-settings).
  </Step>

  <Step title="Check alert settings">
    In the app, open **Alert Settings** and confirm **Low**, **High** and **No Data** are enabled with the thresholds you want, and that audio and vibration are set the way you expect.

    With **Ascending Alerts** on, the first minute is vibration only. You won't hear anything at first unless a vibration puck <Badge color="blue">Classic</Badge> or Wireless Alert Adapter <Badge color="orange">Mini</Badge> is connected. See [Alert Settings](/sugarpixel-mini-classic/alert-settings).
  </Step>

  <Step title="Check for existing snoozes">
    An alert doesn't sound while it's snoozed. In the app, open **Remote Snooze** to see all active snoozes, then tap **Clear All Snoozes** to remove them. See [Remote Snooze](/sugarpixel-mini-classic/remote-snooze).
  </Step>

  <Step title="Test your alerts">
    Use the **Test** button on each alert in **Alert Settings**. Tests respect Quiet Hours and active snoozes, so do this after the steps above.
  </Step>
</Steps>
