# Re-Running the Hardware Test

> Run the display, speaker, and vibration puck test again

Use these steps if you missed the hardware test at first startup or want to run it again.

  <Step title="Unplug everything">
    Unplug both ends of the cable, the vibration puck, and the power adapter from the wall.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Reconnect the puck (Classic)">
    <Badge color="blue">Classic</Badge> Plug in the vibration puck.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Connect the cable to SugarPixel Mini/Classic">
    Plug the power cable into SugarPixel Mini/Classic.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Connect the cable to the adapter">
    Plug the other end of the cable into the wall adapter (but not into the wall yet).
  </Step>

  <Step title="Hold the snooze button and plug in">
    Hold down the snooze button, then plug the adapter into the wall.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Release when “Testing” appears">
    The screen will show **"Testing"** — release the button. The test cycles through the display colors and speaker. <Badge color="blue">Classic</Badge> Also tests the vibration puck.
