# Update Did Not Start or Complete

> Firmware update stalled or didn't install — steps to retry successfully

After tapping **Install** in the app, SugarPixel Mini/Classic should display **"UPDATE"** within a few seconds and take several minutes to complete.

If:

* "UPDATE" does not appear, or
* SugarPixel Mini/Classic restarts quickly without installing the new version, or
* UPDATE displays for more than 10 minutes

…the update download likely failed due to a WiFi or internet issue.

To retry:

1. Reboot your phone
2. Unplug SugarPixel Mini/Classic and plug it back in
3. Temporarily disable WiFi on your phone
4. Open the app and start the update again
