# Wireless Alert Adapter Not Working

> The adapter light is off or it isn't responding to alerts

  **Start here:** make sure your SugarPixel+ has the latest software installed. Install any update you've been notified about, and check your version under **≡ → General Settings → System**.

The light on the Wireless Alert Adapter glows blue when connected. If the light is off or the adapter isn't responding:

1. **Confirm pairing**<br />Go to **≡ → Global Alert Settings → Alert Types → Manage Paired Adapters** and confirm the adapter is listed.
2. **Re-pair if missing**<br />If it's not listed, re-pair it using the 6-digit PIN printed on the bottom of the adapter.
3. **Run a test alert**<br />Go to **≡ → Global Alert Settings** and tap **Test Alert** to confirm the adapter is working.
