# Enterprise Credentials Rejected

> School or work WiFi won’t accept your login — including device registration

Work through all three credential approaches in **School / University / Work** on the [WiFi](/sugarpixel-plus/wifi#school-university-work) page. If those don't connect, try device registration:

### Device Registration

Many schools and universities allow IoT and smart-home devices to connect by registering the device's MAC address — sometimes called "device registration" or "non-standard device access."

1. **Find your MAC address**<br />Go to **≡ → General Settings → System** (also shown at the bottom of **≡ → General Settings → WiFi**) and note the MAC address shown.
2. **Register the device**<br />Search for "*\[school name] register device WiFi*" to find your institution's registration page. Register SugarPixel+ using the MAC address. Some schools issue a personal WiFi password after registration.
3. **Connect**<br />Select the registered network from SugarPixel+'s WiFi list and enter the password if one was provided, or connect without a password if none is required.

<Info>
  If your institution requires a custom security certificate, SugarPixel+ cannot install it. See [Firewall Reference](/sugarpixel-plus/wifi#firewall-reference) for details to share with your IT department.
</Info>

If the network still won't work, a personal mobile hotspot is a reliable fallback.
