Need help at any point during setup? Connect to your SugarPixel and use the Contact Support button at the top of the help popup.
For accurate support, please contact us directly. Third-party advice from Facebook groups or forums is often incorrect. We don't offer phone support, but aim for fast, accurate written responses.
What's in the Box
Check that you have everything before getting started
Your Alert Adapter box should contain:
- Alert Adapter
- USB cable
- USB power brick
If you also ordered a Bed Shaker, it arrives in the same box and includes:
- Bed shaker
Missing something? Email support@customtypeone.com before continuing.
Use the supplied cable and USB power brick only. If your country's outlet doesn't match, use a wall outlet plug adapter â not a third-party charger.
Important: Incorrect setup can prevent alarms, damage the device, create a fire risk, and void the warranty.
Setup
Pair your Alert Adapter with SugarPixel+ or SugarPixel Mini
Select your SugarPixel device below for pairing instructions.
Connecting to SugarPixel+
Pair directly from the SugarPixel+ on-screen menu
Place your SugarPixel+ and Alert Adapter in their intended locations before pairing to ensure sufficient Bluetooth signal.
1Open the menu
Tap the menu icon (âĄ) on your SugarPixel+ and go to Alerts.
2Open Alert Adapter settings
Tap Global Alert Settings â Alert Types, then tap Manage Paired Adapters.
3Pair a new adapter
Tap Pair New Adapter. SugarPixel+ scans for nearby adapters and displays each one with a signal strength indicator.
4Select your adapter
Confirm the signal is sufficient for your intended location, then tap Pair.
5Enter the PIN
Enter the 6-digit PIN printed on the bottom of the Alert Adapter. SugarPixel+ pairs automatically.
Confirm your adapter is listed as SugarPixelAlert-XXXX. If it shows as Unknown Device, tap Unpair and try again.
Use the Test Alert button at the bottom of the menu to confirm your adapter is working before relying on it for alerts.
Connecting to SugarPixel Mini
Pair through the SugarPixel app under the Alerts menu
Place your SugarPixel Mini and Alert Adapter in their intended locations before pairing to ensure sufficient Bluetooth signal.
1Connect to SugarPixel Mini
Open the SugarPixel app and connect to your SugarPixel Mini.
2Open Alert Adapter settings
Go to Alerts, then tap Alert Adapter â Manage Paired Adapters.
3Pair a new adapter
Tap Pair New Adapter. The app scans for nearby adapters and displays each one with a signal strength indicator.
4Select your adapter
Confirm the signal is sufficient for your intended location, then tap Pair.
