SugarPixel isn’t covered by insurance, but you can use your HSA or FSA to buy it. Working with insurance companies would have meant hiring several people just to manage coverage requests, with no guarantee any plan would cover it. That would have raised the price 3–4 times. Instead, we chose to keep SugarPixel priced as low as possible for everyone, rather than have it covered for some people while others pay 3–4 times more out of pocket.
