If the SugarPixel+ battery level looks wrong or won’t charge to full, the battery reading may be out of sync. This can happen after the battery has fully drained. A full charge while SugarPixel+ is shut down resets it.
1

Plug it in

Connect SugarPixel+ to a wall outlet using the supplied cable and USB power brick.
2

Shut down SugarPixel+

Long press the small black button on top of SugarPixel+ (next to the snooze button) to open the power menu, then choose shut down. A large green battery icon appears on the screen while it charges.
3

Let it charge to 100%

Leave it plugged in and shut down until the battery icon shows 100%.
4

Turn SugarPixel+ back on

Hold the black button until the logo appears. The battery level should now read correctly.
SugarPixel+ is designed to stay plugged in. The battery is a backup for power outages, not for running SugarPixel+ on battery for extended periods.
